From deep space to the palm of your hand! This gorgeous handcrafted pendant was made with a slice of the Admire pallasite meteorite, wrapped in genuine Sterling silver wire with gem-quality, faceted citrine beads. The wire was oxidized, then the entire pendant was sealed with a coat of clear lacquer to resist tarnish/corrosion and preserve the aged finish of the wire over time. This pendant, measures 57x36x23mm (2.2" x 1.4" x 0.9") and comes suspended on your choice of chain. This is truly a one-of-a-kind piece and there will never be another like it!
Pallasite meteorites are composed of an iron-nickel matrix with olivine crystal inclusions (of peridot quality) scattered throughout. Researchers once thought that pallasites originated at the core-mantle boundaries of differentiated asteroids that were later shattered by impacts with other bodies. More recently, it was proposed that these are generated by the collisions of asteroids themselves. The Admire pallasite was first discovered in 1881 in Lyon County, Kansas, USA.
