This rugged pendant was made with an icy sphere of crackle quartz set in solid brass wire with an upcycled, brass watch gear, adding just a hint of steampunk style. A solitary, sparkling Herkimer diamond peeks out from a coiled whorl, just beneath the bail. The pendant was oxidized to create a deep blue, verdigris patina, then lacquered to preserve the aged finish. This piece is available with your choice of chain or cord (leather options are adjustable, 18"-20") and measures 38x22x14mm (1.5" x 0.9" x 0.6").
Herkimer diamonds are double-terminated quartz crystal from exposed outcrops of dolostone in/around Herkimer County, NY and Mohawk River Valley. Crystals originating in NY are known for their extreme clarity.
